Klaus moje glass award

The Klaus Moje Glass Award honours one of the most significant contemporary artists working in glass.  The Award builds on the success of the Hindmarsh Prize 2016 to 2018, recognising outstanding achievement in contemporary glass art and celebrating the work of artists whose practices are among the most innovative and influential in this medium. Canberra Glassworks’ biennial glass award now offers $10,000 in prize money, and a four-week residency to the winning artist.

master classes and bursaries

Biennial Intensive Master classes will develop experienced artists in technique, ways of thinking and personal exploration that will help to create work that is inherently personal and innovative. There will be an emphasis on technique, the theory and practice of effective and efficient form making, conceptualizing a work and the inextricable relationship between these fundamental and fascinating aspects of making art with glass.

The Klaus Moje Projekt Advisory Group will seek advice from their relevant communities to provide potential artists to lead the biennial Intensive and, dependent on size of classes, will provide a number of full and partial bursaries awarded to participants through peer assessment.
